About Act Out Performing Arts

Act Out started life in 2008 in Muswell Hill, under the name Kidz on the Hill founded by Lou Turner. After 9 years of building a wonderful school with a truly unique family feel, Lou handed over the reins to professional actor & theatremaker, Rosie Ward. Kidz on the Hill became Muswell Hill School of Performing Arts, until 2021 when the programme began to expand beyond Muswell Hill.
Act Out Performing Arts was created to continue the growth of our unique format, while maintaining our supportive and student-centred ethos. Each Act Out venue and format has a manager who personally oversees the running of their school, to ensure we are always tailoring & adapting the content & programme to our current students.
